Skippered catamaran in Greece: how it works and what it costs

Catamarano Bali 4.6 con skipper in Grecia

Greece is the easiest place for a first catamaran holiday: islands close together, clear water and well-equipped harbours. With a professional skipper on board you need no licence: you choose the stops and the swims, he takes care of the sailing.

How it works

You charter the yacht for a week, Saturday to Saturday, and add a skipper. He sleeps on board in a dedicated cabin, knows the bays and chooses the route every day according to the wind. On request a hostess can join to take care of cooking and cleaning.

Where to start

  • Athens, Alimos Marina: for the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades. See Athens and the Saronic Gulf.
  • Lefkada: for the Ionian Islands, the calmest sea. See Ionian Islands.
  • Mykonos: for the Cyclades, with the summer meltemi.
  • Kos and Volos: for the Dodecanese and the Sporades.

What it costs

In 2027 a 12–14 metre Bali catamaran costs between €3,200 and €13,600 per week for the yacht alone, depending on the model and the month. A skipper costs about €200 per day plus food. Fuel, port fees, provisioning and final cleaning are extra. You will find up-to-date prices in our fleet.

Which catamaran to choose

  • Bali 4.2 and 4.4: four cabins, ideal for two couples or a family.
  • Bali 4.6: five cabins, the favourite for groups of friends.
  • Bali 5.2 and 5.8: six cabins with a full crew, for maximum comfort.
