The Sporades are the green side of the Aegean: pine woods running down to the sand, turquoise bays and white villages on the hills. Departures are from the marina of Volos, in Thessaly.
The islands
- Skiathos: more than sixty beaches, including Koukounaries and Lalaria.
- Skopelos: the chapel on the rock of Agios Ioannis and the harbour of Glossa.
- Alonissos: the heart of the national marine park, home of the monk seals.

When to go
From June to September. The Sporades are less crowded than the Cyclades and the summer wind is milder.
